Dream job dropout is the launching phrase of the seven saturdays brand. When we’re young, we’re constantly asked: “what’s your dream job?” A huge life decision, tasked to a naive mind, based on a fantasy that’s instilled in us. Without ever being informed of the realities of our “dream job” or the working world. What many of us find when we obtain our “dream job” is that the everyday role isn’t what was expected, sometimes even a let down of epic proportions. The clouds around dream and job represent the inflated aspirations of youth and the hidden nature of reality, as clouds obscure the sun. Clouds bring about bad weather, signifying the negative emotions and feelings a job can bring to life. Dropout is paired with rain and smileys, as rain represents cleansing, calmness, and growth. Once the disappointment of a “dream job” is experienced, and washed away, true happiness can begin.
