Behind the design

House·wife, noun: a woman whose main occupation is caring for her family, managing household affairs, and doing housework, while her husband or partner goes out to work. The unwed housewife is someone who’s waiting for their ring, or their wedding day, and still keeps the household running. Don’t judge us; some people want to be a doctor, some people want to be a musician. We have always wanted to be ‘household HBIC’. The unwed housewife design is reminiscent of old 1950s sitcoms that portrayed what we think of as the ‘housewife.’
