The Great Resignation. Quit quitting. Career Cushioning. These terms all signify major issues in today’s society: we’re tired of being overworked, underpaid and short-staffed. Simply put, we don’t want to take on more responsibility than what we’re paid for. But that’s the reality of our workday: juggling multiple different roles while only being paid for one. We’re told to “work hard” and “go above and beyond” to get that promotion, but come review time, we get a pat on the back instead of more money in our pockets.
