Behind the design

Just because we might be safe for work, doesn’t mean we’re suitable for it! The NSFW design is a play on both the saying “not safe for work” and vintage tv test screens. Back in the era of the housewife, the multi-colored bars on a tv screen would follow the formal television station sign-off, and test patterns were shown to allow people to make regular adjustments. The grid and circles of the test pattern were used for perspective. In today’s era, our perspective on life defines our attitude towards it. Regular adjustments are important for creating the life we’ve always dreamed of, which many times come after we’ve ended something that wasn’t working.
